Didier Astruc
Didier Astruc (born June 9, 1946 in Versailles , France ) is a French chemist and professor of catalysis and nanosciences at the University of Bordeaux .
life and work
Astruc studied chemistry at the University of Rennes , where he received his doctorate in René Dabard's group. This was followed by a post-doc at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with Richard R. Schrock . He then accepted a position at the University of Bordeaux, where he researches and teaches with a focus on catalysis and nanotechnology. Astruc became known, among other things, for his work on electron reservoir complexes.
