The civil party

The Citizens' Party e. V. was a party in Germany .

In 1979 Hermann Fredersdorf and Bolko Hoffmann founded the party. Fredersdorf was elected chairman and Hoffmann deputy chairman. Other members included Heinz Kaminski and Trude Unruh (until 1980).

Politically, the Citizens' Party appeared as a bourgeois-conservative protest party . The main substantive demand was radical tax cuts.

The party ran in the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 1980 and achieved 0.1% there, in the federal elections in 1980 , where it only submitted state lists in Bremen , North Rhine-Westphalia and Bavaria and achieved 0.03% nationwide, as well as the state election in Hamburg in June 1982 and the state elections in Lower Saxony in 1986 , where their results were also in the alcohol range.
