The first issue under the title Die Bundesbahn appeared on September 20, 1949, after the Deutsche Reichsbahn had adopted the name Deutsche Bundesbahn in the western occupation zones on September 7th .
From mid-1992 to the end of 1993 it appeared briefly under the title Die Deutsche Bahn ( ZDB -ID 1111314-5 ) before it was discontinued.
It was last published by Hestra-Verlag in Darmstadt . In the 1940s and 1950s it was published by Carl-Rührig-Verlag.
Content
The magazine was intended as "the mouthpiece of the management of DB". It should inform the public about plans and developments in the national and international railway system and familiarize them with "the problems and tasks of the Deutsche Bundesbahn" .
