The German School was a specialist journal published in the early 1830s and, according to its subtitle, "a general newspaper for teaching , schooling and education in general." The paper was only published in the two years 1832 and 1833 in Leipzig by the Expedition of the German School.

In 2006, the Berlin-based library for research on the history of education published a digital edition with online access to the historical editions.
