Die Grüne Fee is a German pulp magazine in which steampunk , science fiction , fantasy and horror stories are published.

The magazine

In terms of content and form, Die Grüne Fee is based on classic groschen magazines from the late 19th and early 20th centuries . First published in 2016, the Groschenheft should appear annually according to the editors and main authors, who call themselves Die Federfechter . Behind this pseudonym are the authors Judith C. Vogt and Christian Vogt as well as the illustrator Mia Steingräber and the author Tobias Rafael Junge . The independent and self-financed project is supported by a few guest authors such as Henning Mützlitz and Mike Krzywik-Groß by Uhrwerk Verlag .

The background world

A special feature is the assumption that the magazine only appears in the fictional steampunk novel world of Eis & Dampf . This special form of editorial fiction is supported by contemporary newspaper articles as well as by the adaptation of classic pulp and literary material to the circumstances of the background. These include, for example, Tarzan , Sherlock Holmes and Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen experiencing significant in an alternative, glacial 19th century changes. The two novels The Broken Doll and The Lost Doll and the anthology Ice and Steam have already been published for Eis & Dampf .
