Tobias Rafael Junge (* 1981 in Zehdenick ) is a German writer. He writes, among other things, youth and fantasy literature.

Life

He grew up in the small town of Zehdenick in northern Brandenburg ( Oberhavel district ) and spent most of his childhood in the former GDR . Following the 10th grade at the Strittmatter-Gymnasium Gransee , he attended the upper school high school Eschwege in Hesse . After graduating from high school, he began to study German and history as a teacher at the Justus Liebig University in Gießen , where he met his future wife, the illustrator Mia Steingräber . During his studies, he dared to take his first literary steps, especially in the direction of pen & paper role-playing games ( The Dark Eye , Ice & Steam , Elyrion , RATS! And others) and short stories, before turning entirely to professional writing. The first success came in 2017 when he won the Leipzig reading compass at the Leipzig Book Fair for his youth novel Deadwater. The logbook ( Dressler Verlag ) a. In addition to working on other books for young people - such as the cyber thriller Darkworld. The logbook in which his Brandenburg homeland serves as a backdrop - he is, together with Judith C. Vogt , Christian Vogt and Mia Steingräber, the author, layouter and publisher of the Groschenheft Die Grüne Fee . He lives with his wife and two daughters in Windeck in the Rhineland .
