The fifth season of the entertainment show Die Höhle der Löwen was broadcast from September 4 to November 20, 2018 by the German free TV broadcaster VOX . The moderation was again taken over by Ermias Habtu . Carsten Maschmeyer , Frank Thelen , Judith Williams and Georg Kofler , Dagmar Wöhrl and Ralf Dümmel could be seen as “lions” .

1.5Thelen and Williams divided the investment amount into € 500,000 each and a media budget. By the time the show was broadcast, however, the deal was not completed, according to FOCUS Online the deal should not come about as agreed on the show.
2.1Maschmeyer offered € 100,000 plus 200,000 working capital . The deal was not finalized until the show was broadcast. At the end of September, the founders informed Maschmeyer that they rejected the investment.
3.1 Dümmel and Maschmeyer divided the investment into € 500,000 cash and € 1,000,000 media budget.
4.2Wöhrl wanted to invest € 250,000 for 25.1% shares in the show. However, the founders' bank loan only allowed stakes of a maximum of 24.9%. Wöhrl then invested € 50,000 less for 0.2% fewer shares.
4.4 Kofler and Maschmeyer offered € 350,000 for 30% in the show, increasing the investment to € 400,000 after the show.
5.5 For the first time in the history of the show, Dümmel and Thelen closed the deal before Kofler, Maschmeyer and Wöhrl were able to submit a joint offer.
6.3When asked by gruenderszene.de , Wöhrl announced that the deal was subsequently rejected by the founder.
8.2Maschmeyer offered € 50,000 as risk capital and € 500,000 if the patent was granted and a proof of concept was submitted. The deal did not materialize because the Maschmeyer Group justified that a similar product existed under the name Opro9 and that the conditions were not met.
9.1The deal with the two investors provided for a sales rebate of 5% in the first year, 3% in the second year and 1.5% in the third year. The deal with Ralf Dümmel was suspended indefinitely. Murray told Stern that " the deal with Ralf Dümmel [...] has not yet been signed because we decided afterwards not to go into retail outlets ".
9.3The deal didn't go through. Widmann told t-online.de that he and the lions “ came to different assessments at a couple of points ”. But he is also connected to the Maschmeyer Group and Kofler's Social Chain Group for other business relationships.
10.1The deal wasn't closed after the broadcast. This was justified by a different waste system in Switzerland and Germany. Dümmel therefore withdrew his offer for the time being and would like to wait for the response to the broadcast.
10.6Dümmel and Maschmeyer offered € 600,000 and € 400,000 working capital .
11.4Kubitschek and Steidl offered 20% of all their inventions and presented the pool athlete and Pemo paint tablet in the show . According to their own statements, they were unable to show any further inventions due to open patent applications.
