The Krefeld crows

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Krähen Krefeld eV are an amateur cabaret group from Krefeld . They exist since 1985 and donate the net proceeds from the events to charitable purposes.

history

The crows were founded in 1985 by Krefeld cabaret artist Jochen Butz. Ten like-minded people from his circle of friends - four physicians, a teacher, two business economists, an engineer, an official manager and an expert - met with the aim of founding a cabaret that focuses primarily on the Lower Rhine region and picks up the material from the street . The entire net proceeds generated should always go to charitable purposes.

The name Krähen goes back to Krähenfeld , the presumed meaning of the place name of the city of Krefeld.

The premiere with the program "Sender Krähenfeld" was important for the later regional radio and was brought to the boards in front of 130 guests in the Krefeld restaurant Herbst Pitt . In the first season, four performances reached around 600 people and the capacity was increased to over 3,000 spectators per season through more events and larger halls.
