The NotenDealer are a German band from Dresden .

history

The NotenDealer came together as a school band in Freiberg in 2004. After finishing school, the band began to give their own concerts in Saxony. In 2006 the four young men were from the same grade level a. a. Supportact of the Puhdys and recorded their first EP, Heiße Ware . The first studio album, Group Therapy, followed in 2010 . At the same time, the band was a candidate in the first season of the VOX / RTL show X-Factor with u. a. Sarah Connor and Till Brönner in the jury. The NotenDealer have been on a Baltic Sea tour every year since 2011 and regularly take part in music festivals ( Tonart Festival , German A Cappella Federal Contest ).

In 2012 the band won the Dresden band competition “Uni-Air”. For the Day of Saxony 2012, Saxony's largest folk festival, the NotenDealer wrote the official song Herz aus Silber and gave two concerts with the most successful rock band in Nepal - 1974AD . In April 2012, the title Heart made of Silver was voted first in a postal vote of the top 50 favorite titles of newspaper readers of the Free Press in Central Saxony. In June 2012 the band opened a cabaret theater in Freiberg called “NotenDiele” . The second studio album Dealirium was with producer Toni Paschke in Leipzig studio 27 recorded and released in April 2012. In December 2015 appeared the third studio album Deagital which with producers Toni Paschke and Emanuel Uch in Leipzig studio 27 and Dresdner Studio TheEmU recorded and was mastered.

On November 23, 2019 the band's 7th album "Extreme" was released. Behind it are new musical elements and recording ideas that set the songs apart from previous productions. The band gained further fame as the opening act of the 15th Semper Opera Ball on February 7, 2020 in Dresden. On May 12, 2020, after 9 weeks of restrictions on public life due to the COVID-19 pandemic , the NotenDealer gave Saxony's first open-air concert in the drive-in cinema at Dresden Airport.

Podcast

The podcast format "Die NotenDealer - Der Podcast" has existed since March 2020. Tim Gernitz and Felix Günther invite regional and national public figures. The concept of the podcast results from the show programs of the NotenDealer. Both take in u. a. the role of the emcee. For several years there has been an excess of opportunities for conversation at the band's concerts. This should be covered with the format of a podcast and includes a form of conversation with the respective guests.

style

The band combines different genres. Rock and pop elements are complemented by cabaret and comedy passages. The Dealirium album also features electronic influences, rap and a Russian folk song. The band's own titles often have a satirical character.
