The post

The Post was published from August 1, 1866 to June 30, 1921 as a daily newspaper in Berlin by Die Post, a limited liability company .

The post office was founded in 1866 by the entrepreneur Bethel Henry Strousberg ; In 1874 it was acquired by members of the Free Conservative Party (from 1871 the German Reich Party ). At the beginning of July 1919, Berlin's Latest News, founded in 1881, was incorporated into Die Post .

In the early 1890s, the newspaper had a circulation of 15,600 copies.

Editor-in-chief until the end of 1893 was Leopold Kayßler (1828–1901), until 1897 Carl Groddeck (1855–1909, eldest brother of Georg Groddeck ), then W. Kronsbein . Adolf Rosenberg (1850–1906) headed the feature section .
