With an average age of 72 years (as of 2009), the Rollators from Frankfurt am Main are considered the oldest rock band in Hessen and became known through songs such as Rollin durch die Rente and Born to Be Wild . The band was founded in 2002 at a casting of the television program Main Tower of the Hessian Radio established and consists of six women and 19 men. In 2009 the group received the music prize of the German Music Council in the special category of making music 50+.
