The pillar
The column is a cabaret in Duisburg .
It was founded in 1995. The name goes back to two gold-colored columns that are located in front of the stage of the theater room , which can hold 99 visitors. The theater has its own ensemble . In addition to plays and cabaret performances, literary readings are held.
The play Open Relationship between Dario Fo and Franca Rame was specially produced for the cabaret theater. The German playwright Tankred Dorst premiered his play Kupsch himself in collaboration with the actor Wolfgang Hinze in the column .
