Tax Advice (Stbg) is a monthly trade journal . It has been the official body of the German Association of Tax Consultants (DStV) since 1975 .

General

The forerunner of the magazine was the magazine “Aus Beruf und Praxis”, published since 1949 by the Association of Tax Advisory Professions VDB together with the Central Association of Helpers in Tax Matters in Germany and West Berlin . The magazine was first published under its current title on January 15, 1958, and has been published on the 15th of each month since then. It is aimed at members of the tax advisory professions , auditors , lawyers , other legal and business consultants as well as tax experts in companies and authorities and aims to inform them about current legal developments in tax law and professional law .

According to the publisher, tax consultants make up the majority of the readership with around 87%. Since members of the DStV or one of its regional associations receive the magazine on request as part of their membership, this group represents the largest proportion of recipients with 95%.

The journal mainly publishes articles on current topics from German and international tax law, criminal tax law and accounting . In addition, selected topics from labor and social law that are related to tax practice are dealt with. Another focus of the magazine is the professional law of tax advisors as well as business administration and quality management for tax advisory companies. In addition, current developments in the profession are reported.
