action

The states of Norlandia and Austradia are hostile to each other on a distant world. Professor Marduk and his assistant Sylvia Hollis succeed in developing a weapon that promises a more peaceful future. However, the required mineral has yet to be procured. Together with Lord Calder and a handful of loyal followers, the journey goes into an unexplored area. The project does not remain hidden from Austradia, which tries by all means to bring the expedition to failure.

background

Edgar P. Jacobs wrote and drew a 64-page story that the characters from Flash Gordon took over in a modified form. This version was later completely revised, which led to a new size of 43 pages.

Publications

The story appeared in Bravo between 1943 and 1944 and Phenix in 1967. A landscape format album was released in 1967. The new version was preprinted in Tintin in 1974 and published in album form by Le Lombard and Dargaud. Carlsen printed this version in German-speaking countries.
