The pursuit , GDR alternative title Police Dog Rex (original title: The Pursuers ) is a British television series from 1961/62. The focus is on the police dog Rex (originally Ivan), a German Shepherd . The idea for the series came from Donald Hyde . The series was first broadcast on ARD 2 in Germany .

Scotland Yard inspector Bollinger works in London and solves a wide variety of crimes. His constant companion is his service dog Rex.

Production notes

The series was produced in Elstree Studios in Borehamwood . It was first broadcast on ABC Weekend Television . The German first broadcast took place on July 6, 1962 on ARD 2. Up to 1965, 24 or 25 episodes were broadcast, from 1963 on ARD . In 1968, German television broadcasted 13 episodes. It is not known whether a new synchronization took place.
