The four (original title: Les Invincibles , in German: The invincible) is a French television series produced by the TV channel ARTE .
Two seasons of eight episodes each were produced. Die Vier is the adaptation of a series of the Canadian broadcaster TV 5 Québec Canada. The first broadcast of the first season began on March 9, 2010 on ARTE, the second started on February 1, 2011. In Germany , the broadcast was exclusively in German without two-channel sound .

Hassan, FX, Vince and Mano are four long-time friends of around 30 who live in Strasbourg . Considering their age, they realize in the first season that they have not yet tasted life enough. So the friends make a pact that they want to end their current relationships and go on adventures. While FX, Vince and Mano initially stick to it, Hassan finds it difficult to part with his girlfriend Cathy. The result of this pact are all sorts of confusions in the lives of the four friends.
After the failure of the first pact, Hassan initiated another pact at the beginning of the second season to make up for his mistakes. According to this, each of the four friends should name a goal and achieve it within a certain time. While Hassan sets himself the goal of getting together with a former work colleague and having a brief affair, FX wants to fall in love, Vince overcome the depression he had acquired in the course of the first season and Mano can live off his music. A vacation together in Punta Cana ( Dominican Republic ) beckons as a reward for achieving all goals .

particularities
Hassan is a fan of comics and has a great talent for drawing himself. The scenes of the series are therefore occasionally interrupted by allegorical drawings, which are based on the real actions and which depict the main characters as comic characters. Furthermore, the main characters in each episode are briefly interviewed about the current status of the implementation of the pact.
Awards
The series won the prize for the best international comedy at the RomaFictionFest (July 5 to 10, 2010 in Rome ) .
