WWW - The World's Funniest Commercials was a television show that featured international commercials as part of a stand-up comedy . The program was broadcast from 1996 to 2008 on the German-speaking private television station Sat.1 .
background
The first season was produced in 1996 and has been moderated by Fritz Egner since then . From 2005, the Bielefeld comedian Ingo Oschmann took over . Packaged in classic stand-up comedy, Oschmann presented and commented on commercials from all over the world. Most of the spots never ran on regular German-language advertising television before and were dubbed or presented with subtitles. The products advertised were only partially available in Central Europe.
The decor of the television studio was similar to that of a club. The recordings were made in front of around 100 viewers, who were shown the commercials live. The reactions of the audience should reinforce the “club atmosphere”.
Since 2005, the show's theme music has been Pump it by the Black Eyed Peas .
In 2008, the 13th and, for the time being, last season of The Funniest Commercials in the World ran .
