Fritz Egner (born August 3, 1949 in Munich ) is a German radio and television presenter . He is considered to be a connoisseur of the rock / pop scene in the late 1960s and 1970s.

Life

In the 1970s, Fritz Egner initially worked as a sound engineer at AFN at the Munich broadcasting station . He was discovered there in 1974 when he stepped in for a fancy presenter at short notice. In 1979 he switched to Bayern 3 as a moderator , where he made friends with his colleagues Thomas Gottschalk and Günther Jauch and had various co-moderations with them.

From 1985 to 1994 Egner hosted the television program Dingsda , in which celebrities had to guess terms that children would paraphrase. He commented on the Eurovision Song Contest 1990 in Zagreb for ARD and on December 13, 1992 hosted the concert Today die - tomorrow you! , which took place in response to the right-wing extremist riots in Rostock-Lichtenhagen and the Mölln assassinations . From 1994 he presented the programs Either Oder and Glücksspirale on ZDF. Between 1995 and 2003 he moderated the hidden camera on ZDF . From 1996 to 2005 Egner worked for Sat.1 and ran the program WWW - The Winnest Commercial Spots in the World . In 1995/96 he moderated the quiz show XXO - Fritz & Co " , a remake of Fritz Benscher's famous tick-tack quiz , but which did not come close to the popularity of the original.

Fritz Egner was a regular presenter at Bayern 3 . There he moderated Fritz and Hits , which deals with Mensch, Otto! - Stars alternated with Thorsten Otto on Sunday , as well as several Christmas hits with Fritz on Christmas Eve.

From January 13, 2013 until the end of the broadcast on July 26, 2015, he also moderated the Bayern 3 cult evening - the soundtrack of your life - alternating with Jürgen Hermann, Fred Kogel and Jim Sampson on Sundays .

On July 30, 2015, the program Now & Then was broadcast on BR television . He presented the history of disco together with PULS presenter Christina Wolf.

In December 2015 Egner left after more than 35 years Bayern 3. Since 15 January 2016 he hosted Friday evening 20:00 to 23:00 its new show "Fritz & Hits - the greatest artists in music history" in Bavaria 1 .

Private

Fritz Egner is married and has a daughter and a son. He has a record collection of 25,000 LPs and 20,000 CDs.
