Sven Böttcher wrote the stories and Fidelis Mager directed. The scripts were written by Sven Böttcher and Stefan Hufschmidt , who also played the role of Ernst Eiswürfel. content

A young man named Ernst Eiswürfel, obsessed with self-doubt, is constantly tempted to put an end to his life by jumping out of the window or from the balcony. Then his guardian angel tries to teach him to behave particularly cool and thus achieve personal success. The guardian angel always acts as a voice from the off and describes his protégé as "pacifier cheek". While communicating with the Guardian Angel, the camera films the scene mostly from above from the perspective of the angel, who can never be seen himself. However, Ernst usually fails. His failure usually leads him to exactly where his guardian angel had previously saved him from jumping.

background

The show is based on various short stories from the publication Eimer wie ich by Sven Böttcher from 1988 and can be understood as a parody of the forced, casual appearance of many young people. The outward appearance of Ernst Eiswürfel shows the classic contemporary symbols of “coolness” such as black sunglasses and hair combed back with hair gel .

Theme song

The text of the theme song read:

“Flowers are blooming everywhere, you are not alone, take the world in your hand, then it will be yours, don't jump out the window, take courage, because you have an angel, everything will be fine with him. Ernst ice cubes, you will see, Ernst ice cubes, the world is beautiful. "
