The future is a band project by the musicians Knarf Rellöm , Bernadette La Hengst and Guz (front man, songwriter and guitarist of the Swiss band Aeronauten ). The group's music moves stylistically between rock, funk, discourse pop and punk. The music magazine Intro described the music as "hedonistic-political pop music without borders"

history

The band of the three individual musicians Hengst, Rellöm and Oliver "Guz" Maurmann, who can all be assigned to the Hamburg School (including Huah!, Aeronauten, Die Braut haut ins Auge, Mobylettes etc.), was created in 2008 especially for the birthday of the Freiburg vinyl sub - Founded independent label Ritchie Records. The idea of recording a studio album as a band arose from a spontaneous cooperation. In spring 2010 the band's first album, which was financed with live performances, was released on Ritchie Records and Trikont . Almost without exception, the band's texts are written in German and, in addition to a large number of quotes, often contain ironic-critical text references to current political and social events.
