Immediately after the finale of the first season of the new edition, the application period for the second season of the great opportunity began . The second season has been broadcast since September 7, 2012. Instead of Bernhard Paul , the former presenter of the program Peter Rapp takes a place in the jury. After the first semifinal show, it was announced on October 20, 2012 that the ORF broke up with Sido immediately after the broadcast with Dominic Heinzl because of physical abuse . The fictional character Seyffenstein (alias Rudi Roubinek ) from Wir sind Kaiser replaced Sido in the jury in the broadcast on October 26, 2012. On October 31, 2012, ORF announced that Sido would be back on the jury from the third semi-final show on November 2, 2012. The winners were the dog dance duo Alexandra and Esprit.
