Diedrich Bischoff

Diedrich Bischoff , pseudonym : Adam Ego , (born February 15, 1866 in Bremen , † February 8, 1946 in Gaschwitz ) was a German Freemason and writer.

Life

He was the son of the Bremen architect Bischoff and his wife Clara nee Mahncken. After attending grammar school in Bremen, Diedrich Bischoff studied law, economics and philosophy at the University of Freiburg im Breisgau , then moved to the University of Berlin and finally to the University of Göttingen . He became an insurance specialist and director of Teutonia life insurance in Leipzig after moving to the trade fair city in 1896. In 1910 he took over the management of the Association of German Freemasons.

In 1933 the Nazis banned his work Socialism as a Religion , published in Munich in 1919 .

Diedrich Bischof was a member of the Commenius Society and the Association for Insurance Knowledge.

family

Diedrich Bischoff married Hildegard nee Nolte, daughter of the builder Adolf Nolte, in 1894. The marriage resulted in three sons and two daughters.
