Diego Ciz , full name Diego Nicolás Ciz Vaz Torres , (born May 31, 1981 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.79 meter tall defensive player Ciz first played for the youth teams of Club Atlético Peñarol . In early 2005, the left-back moved to Rocha FC and won the Apertura of the first division season 2005/06 with the club . Across the seasons, he has made 47 appearances (no goal) in the Primera División at the club from the Eastern Uruguayan departmental capital of the same name . In January 2007 he joined the Olimpia Club . In the Copa Sudamericana 2008 he played four games for the Paraguayan club (no goal). In August 2009 and January 2010, first division appearances (at least one goal) were recorded for this club. At the end of February 2010, Rapid Bucharest signed him on loan. With the Romanians, he completed nine first division games (no goal) until his last appearance on May 22, 2010. In mid-December 2010, he then moved from Club Olimpia to Sol de América . There he was used in 71 league encounters and scored four goals. For the last time he ran for this club on November 25, 2012 in the top division of Paraguay. Since August 2013 at the latest, he has been in the ranks of Sportivo Luqueño . After he had completed 35 first division games (no goal) for the club from Luque , he joined Club Rubio Ñu in July 2014 . There he was used 39 times (no goal) in the Primera División . In the second half of January 2016, he moved again within Paraguay to River Plate Asunción . So far (as of July 22, 2017) he has played in 26 league games (one goal) for the first division club.
