Diego Yanez

Diego José Yanez Gimenez (born May 7, 1958 in Alzira, Spain ) is a Swiss journalist . He has lived in Switzerland since 1961. His place of origin is Ufhusen , where he was naturalized in 1999.

Life

Yanez grew up in the canton of Solothurn . He attended primary school from 1965 to 1971 and the district school in Dornach SO from 1971 to 1974 . 1974 to 1977 he graduated from commercial secondary school at the canton school Kollegium Schwyz, from which he graduated with a commercial diploma. From 1977 to 1981 he completed internal specialist training at the Swiss Bank Corporation (SBG) in Zurich. 1981 to 1984 he studied business administration at the HWV Luzern. In 1986/1987 he was in charge of the Lucerne editorial team for the Neue Sonntagsblatt . He then worked for Swiss television for over 20 years . From January 2011 he was editor-in-chief for TV and a member of the management team at Schweizer Radio und Fernsehen . Since March 2014 he has been director of the MAZ journalism school . Martina Fehr has been appointed as his successor at the MAZ , who will take over the position in May 2020.
