Dieter Brückner

Dieter Brückner (* 1955) is a German textbook author and headmaster of the Veitshöchheim high school .

Life

Brückner studied German and history in Würzburg and became a teacher of German , history, social studies and ethics. As a teacher he taught at the Franz-Ludwig-Gymnasium in Bamberg. Today Brückner is headmaster of the Veitshöchheim grammar school and chairman of the Lower Franconian directors' association. On March 20, 2017, he was elected chairman of the Federal Directors' Conference for Gymnasien (BDK). He is primarily the editor and editor of the textbook series "Treffpunkt Geschichte" (for secondary schools, published together with Dr. Harro Brack, a student of Johannes Spörl and a lecturer in history didactics at the University of Munich ) and "That were times" (for high schools, later published together with Harald Focke ), both of which are published by Bamberger Buchner-Verlag.

“That were times” has been published since 1997 (first in the Hamburg, Lower Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein edition) and is now approved in all federal states. Together with Hannelore Lachner, a lecturer in history didactics at the University of Munich , he publishes the textbook series “Experience History” for the secondary school (also from Buchner Verlag).
