Dieter Hoffmann (literary scholar)

Dieter Hoffmann (* 1962 in Berlin ) is a German literary scholar , author , blogger and publisher .

Life

He studied linguistics, history, educational science and psychology at the Weingarten University of Education , as well as at the University of Bremen and the University of Hagen . In 1995 he received his doctorate in educational sciences, followed in 2005 by his habilitation in literary studies with a thesis on the prose of the absurd.

From 1993 to 1998 Dieter Hoffmann worked as a lecturer for German-language literary history at the Chernyshevsky University in Saratov in Russia . He then worked as a lecturer for contemporary literature at various German universities.

In 2008 he founded the fiction publishing house LiteraturPlanet .

Since 2012 he has been blogging under the pseudonym "Rotherbaron" on the subjects of politics and literature.
