Dieter Hogrefe

Dieter Hogrefe (born September 23, 1958 in Göttingen ) is a German computer scientist .

After graduating from high school in 1977, Dieter Hogrefe studied mathematics and computer science at the University of Hanover , where he also received his doctorate. After completing his habilitation in Hamburg in 1989, Hogrefe worked as a professor in Dortmund, Bern and Lübeck. In 2002 he accepted an appointment as C4 professor at the Georg-August University in Göttingen . There he is director of the recently founded Institute for Computer Science .

Hogrefe conducts research in the field of Internet and communication technology and, among other things , in his telematics working group deals with the simulation and analysis of new network protocols .
