Dieter Hulliger

Dieter Hulliger is a former Swiss orienteer .

Hulliger took part in seven world championships between 1968 and 1979. Hulliger achieved his best individual placings in 1970 when he came third behind Norwegian Stig Berge and Karl John from Switzerland. In 1972 he came in fourth place and with the relay he reached second place behind the team from Sweden in a team with Dieter Wolf , Bernhard Marti and Karl John. In the following years, the Swiss relay team always missed the podium, Hulliger was able to achieve three fourth and one fifth places with the relay during this time.

With five Swiss championships so far , Dieter Hulliger is the record holder of the classic long distance title.

2009 Hulliger was an honorary member of the Swiss Orienteering Federation Swiss Orienteering appointed.
