Dieter Lumpen

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Dieter Lumpen is the main character of an adventurer from the picture stories of the same name by the Argentine author Jorge Zentner and the Spanish draftsman Rubén Pellejero , which was invented in 1985 for the Cairo magazine .

Dieter Lumpen is a typical antihero and thus characteristic of adventure stories of his time, partly influenced by the figure of Corto Maltese by the Italian author Hugo Pratt . He doesn't stand up for anything, nor does he have a clear goal. Instead, he reluctantly lets himself be drawn into adventures that he gets into by accident. The stories are set in exotic countries ( Turkey , Israel or India ) in the 1920s.
