Dieter Meis (born April 28, 1948 ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

The defender Dieter Meis began his career at Eintracht Ahaus and moved in the summer of 1969 to Bundesliga relegated 1. FC Nürnberg in the regional soccer league south . After eight regional league games under coach Kuno Klötzer , Meis moved to SVA Gütersloh in the summer of 1970 , with whom he was promoted to the Regionalliga West a year later . In the summer of 1972 he switched to local and league rivals DJK Gütersloh , with whom he qualified for the newly created 2nd Bundesliga two years later . In 1975 Meis then moved to Preußen Münster , where he was initially a regular player, but then lost his permanent place in the 1976/77 season and left the club at the end of the season with an unknown goal.

Dieter Meis completed 72 second division games in which he scored one goal and 85 regional league games in which he was successful 16 times.
