Dieter Mueller-Harju

Dieter Mueller-Harju (* 1952 in Andernach ) is a German writer, psychologist, sociologist and artist who describes himself as a life artist . As an artist and writer he also works under the name Dieter de Harju .

Life

Mueller-Harju was born in Andernach in 1952. His father worked in film, his mother was handicapped several times by a war injury. At the request of his parents, he did an apprenticeship as a salesman, did his Abitur on the second educational path, and studied business administration, sociology, psychology and cultural studies, with subsequent doctorate. He researched and taught at the Goethe University in Frankfurt on topics such as corporate culture and career choices. In 1991 he was co-founder of the Institute for Economy, Labor and Culture. In 1993 he opened a practice as a life path consultant. In 2004 he moved to Tutzing . There he organized the Tutzinger Forum: Generations Dialogue.

He wrote the biography of his mother Agnes Mueller, based on sound recordings of her story, in 2015 when she celebrated her 90th birthday. She was the only survivor of a bombing raid on her parents' home in which she lost a leg and her hand was badly injured. Nevertheless, she was grateful for a full life, which she passed with courage and strength.
