Dieter Nickles (born March 1, 1963 in Bamberg ) is a German sports journalist . He has been the press spokesman for FC Bayern Munich since July 2016 .

Life

The graduate sports scientist studied in Munich at the Technical University and in Cologne at the German Sport University . He began his journalistic career as an editor and commentator at the Munich television station Tele 5 . In July 1990 he switched to SAT 1 , where he was part of the sports editorial team and from 1992 first moderated the sports news program " dran " and later the program ran .

In the following years he went to DSF , before he started broadcasting Bundesliga and Champions League football matches for Premiere and Sky from 1999 . Since 2012 he has also moderated for the internet channel fcb.tv on the official website of FC Bayern Munich. Nickles is also the managing director of Sports & Brands.

In July 2016, he was named as the successor to Markus Hörwick as press spokesman for FC Bayern Munich.
