Dieter Remus

Dieter Arthur Eilhard Remus (born May 1, 1950 in Jever ) is a German judge . In 1996 he worked briefly as a judge at the Federal Court of Justice ; before and after that he was President of the Stendal Regional Court until April 30, 2015 .

After acquiring the qualification for judicial office, Remus entered the higher judicial service of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg. In 1984 he was appointed judge at the Hamburg Regional Court. In 1988 he was promoted to judge at the tax court. From 1989–1991 he was seconded to the Federal Constitutional Court as a research assistant . Then he began his work in the judiciary in the state of Saxony-Anhalt, which was being established . After the reestablishment of the Stendal District Court, Remus was appointed President.

After his appointment as judge at the Federal Court of Justice, Remus began his service there in April 1996, but left this office at his own request on July 30, 1996 and again took over the function of President of the Stendal Regional Court. At the end of April 2015, Remus retired.

In the summer term 2008 Remus was with a thesis on presidential constitution and lawful judge at the Hamburg University doctorate .
