Dieter Schué

Dieter Schué (born July 16, 1940 in Tilsit ) is a German writer .

Life

Schué spent his childhood in Aachen. After graduating from high school, he completed a German studies course in Friborg, Hamburg and Freiburg, followed by an internship at a newspaper in Essen. In the following years Schué initially worked as a boarding school teacher in Carlsburg, Scheeßel, Marienau and on the East Frisian island of Langeoog. Since 1987 he has worked as a freelance writer and columnist.

He writes travel essays, short stories and satires. He became known to a broad readership primarily through his books for young people from the Rowohlt publishing house, into which he incorporated his experience as an educator.
