Dieter von Vestervig
Dieter von Vestervig († June 24th around 1065 in Jutland ; also: Dietger , Thøger , Theodgarus , Dioter ) was a missionary from Thuringia .
He studied in England theology , after which he traveled as a missionary to Norway . King Olav II. Haraldsson brought him to his court. After the king's death, Dieter left Norway and proselytized on the Danish Jutland peninsula , where he died on June 24th around 1065. The remains were brought to Vestervig on October 30th 1117 in the church of the Canons' Monastery .
