Dietmar Jäger

Dietmar Jäger (born December 15, 1962 ; † December 2, 2011 ) was an Austrian actor .

education

Jäger grew up in Sattledt and then attended the Stiftsgymnasium Kremsmünster , where he graduated in 1981. He went to Graz to study medicine, but gave up medicine in favor of acting. In 1986 he completed his acting studies in Vienna .

Work

Artistic activities

From 1983 to 1987 he co-organized the international theater days in Bad Radkersburg and Sankt Lambrecht . From 1988 to 1993 he was an actor and director of the “Westliches Weinviertel Theater”. In 1994 he founded ACCUS (theater-music-live-culture) with which he produced the legendary production "Lilly Marilli" for the Donaufestival 1994 in Krems and premiered the "dramatic notation" by HC Artmann . Since 1994 he has been involved in setting up a professional deaf theater in Austria as a teacher and actor at ARBOS - Society for Music and Theater and from 1998 was organizational director, first of the Austrian and from 2000 to 2004 of the European and international ARBOS deaf theater festival in Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany and Finland. As an actor, Jäger u. a. at the Schauspielhaus Graz , at the Salzburg Festival and at the Danube Festival .

Other activities

Since 2009 he has worked in event and production management at "Volkskultur Niederösterreich". Jäger was also a member of the Lower Austrian Senate for Culture.
