Didi Zach

Dietmar "Didi" Zach (* 1965 ) is an Austrian politician of the Communist Party of Austria . He has been state spokesman (chairman) of the KPÖ Vienna since 2006.

Life

Zach, born in southern Burgenland in 1965, graduated from a commercial academy and then studied political science in Vienna. Coming from the Alternative List of Austria (ALÖ) , a predecessor party of the Greens , he soon organized himself in the Communist Students' Association (KSV) . For this he also worked in various functions and as a mandate on the main committee of the University of Vienna . At times he was also active in the pirate radio scene, from which Radio Orange emerged in Vienna .

From 1998 to 2006 Zach was KPÖ press spokesman. At the end of 2006 he was elected spokesman for Vienna. In 2010, Zach was the KPÖ's top candidate in the municipal and state elections in Vienna. He has also been a member of the national board of the KPÖ for several periods. He is particularly interested in questions of economic and social policy as well as human rights. He lives and works in Vienna.

In 2015 Didi Zach was an advocate of the Wahl-Allianz Wien project . He also ran differently in second place on Vienna's municipal council list. After the electoral alliance in Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus won a district council mandate, Zach is now also a district councilor.

He is running for the LINKS party in the 2020 state and municipal council elections in Vienna .
