Dietrich IX. from Gemmingen

Dietrich IX. von Gemmingen (* 1517 ; † April 24, 1586 ) was the landlord in Tiefenbronn .

Life

He was a son of Dietrich VIII of Gemmingen († 1542) and Katharina von Neuhausen (1481–1563) from the Steinegg line of the barons of Gemmingen . With the division of his father's property in 1547, Tiefenbronn fell to him, while his brother Eitel Dietrich (1513–1568) received Steinegg . In 1548 he sold his property on the other side of the Würm to Eitel Dietrich . In 1572 he bought a house in Pforzheim, which was owned by the family in 1543. In 1577 he sold the house to the margraves of Baden who converted it into a diaconate. In 1573 there were errors with the community of Tiefenbronn, which the Margrave Karl II mediated.

His tomb and the tombs of his two wives are preserved in the Church of St. Maria Magdalena in Tiefenbronn .

His first marriage was to Lia von Schellenberg († 1564). He went into a second marriage with Agatha Reussin von Reußenstein († 1575).
