Dietrich Mahlo

Dietrich Mahlo (born January 8, 1935 in Berlin ) is a German lawyer, former Berlin state constitutional judge and politician ( CDU) .

Mahlo studied law at various universities and received his doctorate in international law in Hamburg. From 1964 to 1972 he was a member of the diplomatic service and has been a lawyer in Berlin ever since.

Mahlo was a member of the Berlin House of Representatives from 1979 to 1987, and then to the German Bundestag until 1998 .

He is the author of a monograph on the early history of Burma as reflected in its coin culture (The early coins of Myanmar / Burma; Bangkok 2013; 192 pp.)

From March 2000 to June 2007 he was a judge at the Berlin Constitutional Court .
