Dietrich Steffan
Dietrich Steffan (* in Kolberg ; † after 1473 in Greifswald ) was dean of the artist faculty and rector in Greifswald.
Dietrich Steffan enrolled in Leipzig in 1441 and acquired the Bacchalaureat artium here in 1442, three years later he became a Magister Artium and later bacchalaurius sacre theologie
In 1457 Steffan became Vice Chancellor and Dean of the Artists in Leipzig. A year later he moved to the University of Greifswald and became dean of the artist faculty there in 1459. In 1465 Steffan was elected rector and in 1473 vice chancellor.
