The Agha Nur Mosque ( Persian مسجد آقانور Masjed e Agha-Nur , IPA : [ mæsd͡ʒɛd ɛ ɑɢɑnuɾ ]) is a historic mosque in the Iranian city ​​of Isfahan . It was during the era of Abbas I started and Safi I. completed. That is why the names of these two kings are mentioned in the inscription above the portal .

The mosque was built under the supervision of one of the richest men in Isfahan , Nureddin Mohammad Esfahani. The Shabestan of the Agha Nur Mosque is considered to be one of the most beautiful in Isfahan. It consists of stone pillars and marble arches that provide light during the day.
