Dietrich von Meschede

Dietrich von Meschede (* around 1490 ; † March 20, 1545 ) was a Roman Catholic clergyman and canon in Münster .

Life

Dietrich von Meschede came from the Westphalian noble family von Meschede and was the son of Heinrich von Meschede (1450–1515) and his wife Anna von Bruch (1464–1497). His brother Gebhard (1490–1575) was married to Dorothea von Westphalen . In 1512 Dietrich became vicar of Meschede and on October 22nd of that year canon in Münster. Heinrich von Twist applied for the prebend who had become vacant after his death. The sources do not contain any statements about his further life.
