Dietrich von Zengg

Augsburg single-sheet print

Brother Dietrich von Zengg is said to have been a Franciscan brother who is said to have written a prophecy in Zengg ( Senj ) in Croatia in 1420 . He is also known as Theodericus / Theodoricus Croata .

Life testimonies independent of the manuscripts and prints of the Joachimite- influenced forecast are not known. It is not unlikely that it is a pseudonym . The text has been handed down in several manuscripts and was printed again and again until the 17th century , starting with a single-sheet print from Augsburg that was not made before 1503 .
