Dillberg is a German pop rock band from Altdorf near Nuremberg .
history
The band Dillberg was founded in October 2006. She gave her first concert a month later in Altdorf. Shortly thereafter, the four band members Dominik Hinney, Oliver Spieß, Rolf Scharrer and Jörg Szameitat went into the studio and recorded their first CD called It is worth it , which was released in April 2007. In October 2008 the second CD Schicksals Schmied was released . In 2009 the band reached 3rd place in the nationwide competition "New Talent 2009" by www.regioactive.de , in which 1300 bands had applied. The turn of the year brought the song "Frau in Dunkelgrau" to number 1 in the genre and euro charts of www.track4.de.
The first few years also brought interesting projects with them, such as B. a collaboration with the German writer Thommie Bayer . With the title “Thommie Bayer meets DILLBERG”, the four musicians took to the stage twice in 2008 and presented an author reading with musical accompaniment. With the German rock legend Ernst Schultz , the quartet spanned 40 years of German rock music in several concerts in 2010. The year 2012 was marked by a concert as part of the Wallenstein Festival Altdorf with the Austrian singer and songwriter Tom Haydn and the saxophonist Norbert Nagel . In 2013, the band released their first live DVD entitled Very Close .
