Dillingen ( Luxembourgish Déiljen ) is a place in Luxembourg .
It is subordinate to the municipality of Befort and the canton of Echternach . Dillingen borders on Germany, more precisely on the German municipality of Wallendorf . The border marks the river Sauer . The Dillinger Bridge, which connects Germany with Luxembourg, crosses the river. In 2015 Dillingen had 243 inhabitants.
In the vicinity of Dillingen there are some of the few remaining quarries that quarry Luxembourg sandstone .
