Dilshod Yorbekov

Dilshod Yorbekov (also Dilschod Akhmedovich Yarbekov ; born May 1, 1974 in Samarqand Province ) is a former Uzbek amateur boxer and Olympic participant in 1996 and 2000 in the middleweight and light middleweight division .

Yorbekov won the Asian Championships in Tashkent in 1995 and a bronze medal at the World Championships in Berlin . He was eliminated in the semi-finals against Ariel Hernández , Cuba. His other successes include the silver medal at the 1998 Asian Games , as well as the bronze medal at the 1994 Asian Games, the 1998 Goodwill Games and the 1998 World Cup .

At the Olympic Games in 1996 he reached the quarter-finals against Brian Johansen, Denmark, and Ľudovít Plachetka, Czech Republic, where he was eliminated just 8: 8+ against Rhoshii Wells , USA. At the Olympic Games 2000 he was defeated in the first fight against Adnan Ćatić (Felix Sturm) (6:10), Germany.
