Dimitar Apasiev ( Macedonian Димитар Апасиев ; born September 22, 1983 in Titov Veles ) is a North Macedonian legal scholar and politician ( Levica ).

Life

Dimitar Apasiev graduated in law at the University of Skopje with MA (2010) and doctorate from (2015). The subject of his dissertation was Roman criminal procedural law . Since 2017 he has been an assistant professor at the Chair of Private Law at Goce Delčev University Štip .

He has been involved in the movement for social justice in Lenka since his student days . He was involved in founding the Levica (Die Linke) party in 2015 and has been the chairman of his party's presidium since 2019. This was preceded by a power struggle between Apasiev and Zdravko Saveski, in which Apasiev was able to prevail. Since then, observers have seen clear nationalist tendencies in the party and in some cases assign them to the right to right-wing extremist camp.

In the parliamentary elections in 2020 , his party won 4.1% of the vote in parliament with two members, namely Apasiev and Borislav Krmov .
