Warkings is a multinational power metal band around the Austrian singer Georg Neuhauser from Serenity . The band appears under a pseudonym and is currently under contract with Napalm Records .

Band history

The band appears under pseudonyms and masked, with each band member representing a "warking" from a different era. Singer and mastermind Georg Neuhauser from Serenity represents a tribune , plus a Nordic warrior ("Viking"), a crusader ("Crusader") and a Spartan ("Spartan"). The concept of the band is that these four "war kings" met in Valhalla , formed a band and were sent to earth by Odin to spread the metal. Musically it is Power Metal in the style of Hammerfall , Sonata Arctica or the conceptually similar Brothers of Metal . The lyrics are mostly about battles that the four characters are said to have experienced themselves. Similar to Gwar , the interviews are also conducted “in character”.

After the first single Gladiator , the debut album Reborn was released on November 16, 2018 , with guest singer Melissa Bonny (ex- Evenmore , now Rage of Light ) as "Queen of the Damned", "Sir" Jan "of" Vacik (ex- Serious Black ), Fabio D'Amore (from Serenity, as Fabius Damores) and Thomas Gurrath as “Mr. Debauchery ”(by Debauchery ). On the tour that followed, Melissa Bonny also performed with the band. The album reached number 70 in the Austrian charts.

The second album Revenge was released on July 31, 2020 . Melissa Bonny was there again as a guest singer. It reached number 29 in the German charts.
