Dimitar Ivanov

Dimitar Ivanov , Bulgarian Димитър Иванов (born October 13, 1894 in Makozewo ( Макоцево ) near Sofia ; † October 25, 1975 ) was a Bulgarian chemist ( organic chemistry ).

His full name is Dimitar Ivanov Popov , but he is known by his patronymic Ivanov.

Ivanov graduated from Sofia University in 1920 and continued his studies in Nancy . In 1926 he was back at the University of Sofia, where he became a professor in 1929.

The Ivanov reaction he developed in 1931 is named after him.
