history

Building history

A church in Edingen is first mentioned in a document in 1161. The Romanesque bell tower of this church is still preserved. The tower of St. Peter in Echternach served as a model . The nave was rebuilt in 1775 and rebuilt several times in 1837 and 1860. Today the church is a single-nave building with a baroque nave and a Romanesque bell tower on the side of the nave.

Furnishing

Of the furnishings, the baroque high altar with the two side altars should be mentioned, a sandstone relief of St. Nicholas and the baptismal font, also made of stone.
